Vodka & Caviar!

OPI never let's me down with their luscious shades or their perfectly quirky names! This shade has been one of my favs since the Russian Collection came out and I forgot how much I loved it until one of my girlfriends had it on the other night...Vodka and Caviar! I usually splash some on my piggies but for this time a year it is the perfect holiday red...love love! They have a great Holiday Collection, that is all sparkle and glitz (pretty)...but may be a bit too much for us savvy more uhmmmm, middle aged chics. This one is so pretty, sexy, and sophisticated...I promise it won't disappoint.

All the other little elves will be jealous!

Commander in Chic!

Okay, I KNOW...all these brilliant, gorgeous, shimmery winter colors and I go pick a matte grey product of the week....that's me- a bit against the grain at times. I couldn't resist though, I was a bit over the reds, burgandy's, blues, and browns and as soon as I found this shade of nail polish I GRAB it and ran to the register.

It is called Commander In Chic #370 from Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure line. The brush is awesome, a bit tapered more than the usual and the shade is more neutral than you would think...perfect to wear with anything! The price is right up there with Essie and OPI, about $7.99...but worth it! I picked mine up at a local CVS, so try your local Targets, Ulta, and neighborhood drug stores. I love this suede shade and hope you love it too..now go get your grey on!

This photos was grabbed (no other pics were found) off of a site called http://www.stephscloset.com/

Very cool site and very detailed on anything about beauty and fashion...a woman after my own heart!

Double Mini...double WOW!

Okay, so I was trolling my favorite sites looking for a personal replacement brush set and found this...love Love, LOVE this from Laura Mercier! They are super compact, super easy to travel with, and super easy to use. I love that you get so many brushes for LESS than $100.00! My favorite is her smudge brush, with her flat liner brush coming in a tight second. Go directly to her site, saks, or bergdorf goodmans to grab yours before the holiday robbers, I mean shoppers get theirs!!

Red Red Red!!!

It's that time folks...Holiday time which mean RED lipstick time!
A red lip is a classic staple that will never go out of style. The trick is finding the right one for YOU and wear it with confidence! Keep everything else on the face bare or minimal and rock the red! I have picked a few goodies that I think will be fun for the festivities...one is a creamy true red, one a warmer sheerer red, and one deep, textured and matte! Drum roll........
Kat Von D,
Make Up Forever,
and Nars tops my list of fabulous red carpet worthy reds!
Love these...after brushing your teeth, run your toothbrush over your lips (exfoliate), place a lip primer or even Aquafor, leave on for 5 minutes then blot, run the lip color over your lips using the tube or even your hands...SKIP the liner (circa 1995)...
Be brave, not afraid of a red lip...
Go for it and watch heads turn!

On my Santa's Short List!

You better watch out, you better not cry...well, with these... you CAN actually cry!

I love the brand Make Up Forever, love love!

Now, I love a great waterproof eye pencil and these are hands down my ultimate fav!

These Aqua Eyes are creamy and easy to smudge, but once they go on-they don't budge! I think the colors are bold , brilliant, and fabulous...and this gift box comes with 26 pencils, so the hardest thing about this set is deciding which ones you want to use first!

Hurry and write Santa, tell him to put a rush order on this perfect holiday gift set.

Just make sure Mrs. Claus doesn't snag it from the bag before the Mister makes it down the chimney!

Striking Gold...well, sorta!

Okay, I LOVE Smashbox products! You always know you are getting a great quality product and they often have wonderful kits, especially around holiday time. A while back, I was lucky enough to come across an amazing Smashbox palette for my kit. It really has everything you could ever want for color in a kit, and I often don't even reach for other things when I am working ...(especially when I need to work fast)...it has cool colors, warm colors, their jet set liners, brow colors, blushes, bronzer, highlighter, and LIPS!!! My only regret was that by the time I wanted one for my regular personal stash...they were GONE baby gone. Well, it's your lucky day folks...I was searching my favorite lines looking for the latest and greatest and tripped on their newest kit and it is raging FABULOUS! And it's all for $59.00 bucks. It is the best $59.00 dollars you will ever spend, well worth every penny. You have to go on the Smashbox site directly (and they will give you free standard shipping!). The PERFECT holiday gift for all the girls in your life (including the one in the mirror)...snag your up asap, I'm sure they will be gone in a flash!

In an attempt to find one more pinkalicious item before the end of the month...I stiletto stumbled over this...now I love just about anything Versace, but I really love this fragrance-Bright Crystal! I wore this back in the spring and it was perfect, bright, crisp, with just enough (but not too much) daytime sexy! I think it would even be super suitable for winter time, especially for daytime or if you like something a bit easier on the ole sniffer. I love the little Pink Ribbon charm it comes with and of course the PINK packaging! Grab yours now because we are nearing the end of the month...boy, I sure am going to miss all the pink!

BCA...Bring It!

You know what time it is...BCA or Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

I have always been impressed with what the beauty industry has rolled out in honor and support of BCA, but now my ears really perk up! Many people know this, however some don't...but I was diagnosed this past June (June 1st, 12 o'clock noon to be exact) with Breast Cancer at the age of 36. I am currently fighting not only for me and my family, but for the many woman and men out there touched by this horrible disease. So, the next time you are out shopping and see Pink...know that it is the color of our banner we wave so high! Get out there, buy some PINK, and support a fabulous cause! Here are a few goodies I saw this week that are awesome...

Give Me Moore...or Moor!

I love FALL! Love fall clothes, love fall make up, anything with fall colors and textures! Fall rolls around and I like changing up a few things...my digit polish included. I am creature of habit and love my Bubble Bath or Ballet Slippers in the summer, and love my darker colors in the fall and winter, usually Lincoln Park In the Dark or my trusty Vamp. I tend to lean towards the wines, burgandys, and reds...as long as it's DARK! My latest fav is by OPI...I love the dark plumy color and once I flipped over and saw the name-it quickly made it into my little shopping basket (we love marketing!)...

Check out the entire Espana Collection, especially Give Me Moor!

The perfect plum to fall for...give me more!

Her Name Was LOLA...

Now, we LOVE us some Marc Jacobs over here in the land of Moore Make Up! Love his clothes, shoes, bags, glasses, line for LV, and of course his perfumes! His first scent Marc...is one of my all time favorites. It was no surprise that his latest fragrance LOLA-hit the nail on the head! It is sweet and musky, perfect for fall and we love love the sassy bottle it comes in...so MARC!

I would give my right arm to be at one of his shows right now for NYC Fashion Week...I guess spritzing myself with his latest and greatest will have to do!

We're Baaaaaaack!

Summer flew by without even stopping! We are back to doing Product of the Week and are so excited!

We have come across some fabulous goodies and want to share what we have found!

Fall is my absolute favorite time for make up and there are several trends I am loving right now.

One thing I am loving is the textured eye shadows in rich colors...so luxurious! Although matte shadows are "in", I still love the silky, creamier look for shoots and weddings.

It really catches the light and looks purely radiant!

I came across this palette, Shady Lady from The Balm and it is perfect for fall and winter.

Great quality, super pigment, and LOVE the leopard and mud flap girl packaging...the colors are right on!

Pair with a sheer hit of a nude lip, or a tap of something deeper and richer-either way, you can

rock it out!

We hope you are having a swell summer so far!
We just wanted to let everyone know that the make up elves over here at

We will pick up right where we left off in September!
We will miss you, but will see you soon enough!

Beach, Bobbi...oh Baby!

With the beach and boating already in full swing-we want to get you ready! These new cheek tints from Bobbi Brown are just what the captain ordered! They have just the right amount of pigment for a fresh summer look and are super easy to use! Another summer fav is her Beach Collection! Brings back all of those Coppertone memories....take a deep breath, can you smell it?

Love it and it makes me smile thinking of the good ole days!

Pick Your Weapon!

In my office, at my desk, I am humming my girl Janet's old school "Control"...as in Shine Control!

Here in the south it gets hotter and more humid than you can imagine. You feel yuk and sometimes look worse than you feel. There are ways to keep your cool and still look smokin' hot! I am a big fan of using anti-shine and shine control products. You can pick a primer, powder, or blot papers...or even all 3.

These are my favorite weapons of choice!

Bronzing Beauties!

Okay, so there is alot that I will fully and honestly admit about myself...one thing being that I like to have a touch of color or a bit of a bronze look. I'd like to think that I have come a long way from laying out with Tanning Amplifier, to gradually spending less and less unprotected time in the sun, to full on wearing sunscreen everyday. Being raised in the south, we would spend hours out on the beach...and had the idea that who ever had the darkest tan WINS! Boy, am I paying the price today! However, with that being said, it still somehow doesn't change the fact that I like to have a bit of color and still sit on the beach...these days I just try to be smarter about both. With that said, you can imagine I have tried just about every bronzer and self tanner out there. In fact my mission this sumer here locally is to find the BEST air brush tanning in town. I will let you now what I find out, in the meantime check out my favorite bronzers. I picked my top 3, including a fabu waterproof bronzer. My favorite matte bronzer is by Benefit! Truly not an once of shimmer and this product will last you forever. My fav shimmer bronzer is Laguna by Nars! Tread lightly with this one, because it is full impact baby! And of course this new waterproof powder bronzer I found by Hourglass, perfect for beach or poolside (or for a night out doing some heavy dancing!). If you have a favorite, give me a shout and let me know what's been working for you!

It's In The Bag!

Every year the Center For Women here in Charleston has a purse auction to raise money for their facility. They are a wonderful group of women who promote other women and their businesses here locally. They are well known for their involvement in the community and are always ready to lend a hand and give back. That's why when this year they asked if we would design a purse for the Purse Auction... and we said YES! Although a bit nervous (neither myself or Mags can own the title of designer), we were honored to be a part of this event. It's a secret of what our bag looks like, but I can promise you-Margaret and I would have been fighting over this thing! If you do any event this spring, I would like to encourage you to come out for this one! Check out their web site for the event details and we hope to see you there! Happy Bidding!

You ask...you shall receive!

Over in our neck of the woods, we are always talking about the importance of using a good primer-it is almost essential in creating a flawless face. Most primers are primarily silicone based, which creates a smoother surface. While this is ideal for many reasons, it is not a natural ingrediant. We have had emails and comments on helping people find a good quality, high performing all natural primer...well,look no more!

Korres has really stepped up their game in competing with the industry's leading natural and eco- friendly cosmetic lines. You might have seen them on one of your home shopping networks, or as you have cruised through a nearby Sephora. They offer a wonderful way to shop more natural (and the price point isn't too bad either). Try this and let us know what YOU think!

Product of the Week!

I like to switch up skin care, make up, and even perfume between seasons (spring/summer and fall/winter). For spring I like sheerer, lighter weight textures for everything-including any kind of scent I dab on. When I was younger, I used to swim in my perfumes and body products (does Victoria's Secret Tranquil Breeezes bring back memories for anyone?). These days, I like to keep things a bit more subtle (mysterious as my Mimi would say).

We all know how fabulous and popular
True Religion Jeans have been, so it should have come to no surprise that their perfume has become the hit it is! It is light and airy- clean for daytime and sexy enough for night. Somehow it made it into my basket as I was leaving Ulta the other day!

It was worth it because my husband even commented on how yummy it smelled!

A Grateful Heart!

The gift of one's time and talent are the most precious gifts. My gal Jules is constantly giving me both! We met years ago through a business connection (my first actual conversation with her was while I was in labor with my son Cameron at the hospital)... since then we have been each others biggest fan and frand! Every year or so she is shooting something for me-photos for marketing,my pregnant belly, pictures of the kiddos running around in diapers, or one of our beautiful Brides. This week we are getting together to shoot some updated promo stuff and at the last minute-she let me crash a shoot (due to it's fab location) last Friday. We had so much fun and I finally got to meet Kiesha (BFF from NC)...who lives up to her own legend of being "wonderful" too.

These are a few shots Jules got...not sure in what content I will use them in just yet. It's been a while since I have picked up the microphone-but she sure stirred my inner rockstar!

Love you Jules and thanks again!

Perfect Product!

We are always on the lookout for what we call "Perfect Products". Some products are obviously better than others and some frankly we just can't imagine living without.

Oil of Olay has really stepped up their game and has recently come out with new amazing products. They recognize that people are still spending on their beauty routines, but they are spending more wisely. We have blogged before on the Regenerist Line and how much we love that! Our latest must have are their make up removing wipes! I believe they have 3 different kinds of wipes that remove make up, but these are our FAV! They are super moist, ready to go and take off ALL make up! We carry them in our kits and I have them in my car and gym bag! They are also great to keep in your bedside table for all you night owls who don't like to take your make up off before bed(gasp) and are perfect for traveling (they meet airline regulations)!

See for yourself and let us know what you think!

"Bump" Beauty!

Holla back all you pregger peaches...this is for you! I have o'plenty girlie friends who have buns in the oven at present-including my sister Lorie who is 14 weeks with her second bambino. I have been digging around trying to find what's new out there for all of my pregnant peeps and found this company...Momma Mio! I love their gift sets and some of their products sound so luxurious and relaxing-I want to try them (and I am NOT pregnant!). My favorite is the BBB Gift Set for the 2nd trimester. It stands for Boobs, Belly, and Bottoms and comes withTummy Rub Oil, Boob Tube (for stretch marks), and Wonder-Full Balm (for the bum area).Their packaging is adorable and I simply can't make up my mind what I want to order first!

A Girl After My Own Heart...or Make Up Kit Really!

My sweet Sophie! I met Miss Sophie last spring while working with one of the best families...The Lynch's. Sophie is the darling niece of Lynda MOB of Franca...Franca was one of my gorgeous Brides for 2008 (did you get all that?). Anyway,Soph and I had a wonderful time chatting away the entire day of the wedding. Come to find out she is crazy mad about make up! Not only does she love the color aspect, but is already extremely talented at mixing, blending, and trust me when I say the girl is already good with the brush! She fell in love with a lip palette that I had been carrying around and spent at least an hour in that kit alone. Needless to say, everytime I looked at that sitting in my kit, I thought of her. I kept thinking of how much she would like this and probably get more use out of it than me...so finally after the season calmed down enough for me to get to the post office...I sent it to her! All the way over to Glasgow! I heard back from Miss Diva Divine with the sweetest thank you card and photo saying how much she loved her new lip kit. What can I say, at such a young age she has a clear vision and passion for anything related to make up! Truly a girl after my own heart (or shall I say make up kit?)! I will look forward to keeping in touch with the entire Lynch family, especially my little Sophie.

Maybe one day, I can go work for her!

Southern Weddings Magazine Blog and Charleston Weddings Magazine!

Jane was one of my favorite Bride's this past season (so much so that I put her on the cover of the new site's home page)...the wonderfully talented Heather Forsythe was her photographer that day. Her wedding made it into Charleston Wedding Magazine's and onto the

Southern Weddings Blog! I loved the beautiful purples hues used for everything, especially the peacock feathers! Jane who is also a Ballet Bride (dances for a local company here in Charleston) looked stunning and the entire wedding was dripping with romance....

Hellooooo Kitty!

Yeah for MAC!

Between my daughter who is already an insane fan of Hello Kitty (at the ripe age of 2), to one of my bestest girlie-friends Jules...I was so excited when MAC finally launched their line

"Kitty Mild-Kitty Wild" Hello Kitty products!

These goodies are super cute and the packaging is even cuter. The line covers anything from lipglass to brushset...make up bag to bracelet! It looks a little like Hello Kitty Harley Style because of the black logo and I LOVE it! You get the best of both worlds in not having to search for an excuse to buy something HK AND you get an awesome product from MAC. Definitely NOT your daughters Hello Kitty...more like a mother's obsession from back in the day. I know Hello Kitty made a strong comeback several years ago, but to me she never left!

I HEART HELLO KITTY!

Redness Relief!

My sweet Auntie Vida emailed me with a question a few weeks back about what to use for redness or rosacea. There are so many things you can do to help combat the redness from what you eat and drink, to controlling the temperature, and of course there is the skin care and make up we use. There are a few good light weight powders out there that help tone down the redness by using a certain tint to conceal the red, but few offer ingredients within their products to eliminate it all together. I came across this newbie from Clinique and it looked interesting, so I tried it. Now I am not super red, so I would love to actually try this on someone ideal...it did have a cooling effect which also makes me want to try it in the warmer months for all my summer Brides. We will keep you updated! If you "Give it a go" as Tony Fergeson says...holla back and let's us know what you think!

I Heart Juicy!

I LOVE Juicy! They made the track suit more famous than ADIDAS, took cute charm braclets to a new level, and put the yumma in a good smellin' perfume-one of my favorites! I was innocently enough looking at buying my husband the Juicy for Men cologne "Dirty English", when I stumbled across this cute thang! It is a sassy little Juicy ring with a little bit o' bling and gloss! I was a good girl and didn't buy it for myself, but it sure went on my Valentine's Day Lust List!

Mi Amore Juicy!
